Rob Davidson Water Colors

Rob, a Colorado native resides in Centennial Colorado and enjoys cabins in Leadville and Melrose, Montana. He is a registered architect and a former owner of H+L Architecture located in the historic LODO district of downtown Denver. In his 34-year carreer he oversaw the Healthcare Design studio specializing in Hospitals in the 5-state Rocky Mtn. Region.  Rob’s architectural background mixed with a love of fly-fishing, skiing, and the outdoors, provide majestic backgrounds for many of his works in the western United States. His Watercolor based works include:

·       Sports: Fishing, Skiing, golfing, and action compositions.

·       Architecture: Barns, houses, and Victorian architecture; Rural and Urban settings.

·       Landscapes: Colorado and Montana rivers & lakes, forests, Aspens, and Winter & Moonlit scenes.

·       Animals & People: in dynamic activities.

His art work on Paper and Canvas include Watercolor, Smoke and Coffee Paintings.  Rob constantly varies his compositions, always reaching for something new and fresh, often using bright pure color mixes.

Rob, a cancer survivor, was motivated to paint watercolors during his treatment in 1996. After listing things he wanted to do, but never had time for, painting appeared at the top of his list. He began painting in the summer of 1998. It continues to be a passion, consuming a great deal of his time.  "I picked up a brush and found watercolors!" - Rob

Rob composes his work as a combination of pencil and transparent watercolor. Most paintings are executed on Arches 140 Ib. Cold press textured paper using Windsor Newton colors.

“Around Here, however we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
